NEW YORK, July 29, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) and XM Satellite Radio today announced that they have completed their merger, resulting in the nation's premier radio company. The new company plans to change its corporate name to SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. The combined company's stock will continue to be traded on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol "SIRI."

SIRIUS XM Radio begins day one with over 18.5 million subscribers, making it the second-largest radio company, based upon revenue, in the country; and, based upon subscribers, the second largest subscription media business in the U.S. With under 10% penetration of the home and car market, the opportunity for continued growth is significant.

XM shareholders will receive 4.6 shares of SIRIUS common stock for each share of XM.

MTV's Rasika Mathur Joins Everywhere Radio

Rasika Mathur, star of Nick Cannon's comedy show Wild N' Out, grabbed the attention of radio & mix-tape king, DJ BIJAL, resulting in the "We Wild N Out" mix-tape in 2006. Building a relationship over the year and gaining recognition from this collaboration the two are once again joining forces. DJ BIJAL presents Rasika Mathur every week on Everywhere Radio in a comedy segment dubbed "DJ BIJAL Presents: Rasika's Comedy Corner" which is currently set to air immediately on Desi Hits and will later will added to Sirius Satellite Radio Editions of the radio show. Comedienne Rasika Mathur, best known for not playing a Ho on 4 seasons of MTV's Wild N Out, is a sketch comedy and improv performer from Ho, Tx. Trained at Second City, Chicago, she began her stage career in the troupe Stir Friday Night! before moving out to LA. Since then, she has also booked a pilot with Bob Odenkirk, and the chance to flex her funny on The Andy Dick Show, Weeds (ep. 14 this season!) and My Name is Earl.She is a featured artist on Superdeluxe.com, where her series Sourced Out addresses serious world issues like outsourcing. She has also MCed high profile South Asian events such as Bhangra Blowout 06, Bibi Magazine Sexy 7, NETIP-Praashi Fashion Show 06, and a gala for Bobby Jindal back in 2004. She has been profiled by India Currents, Nirali, and the Western Kentucky University Herald, and is still waiting for a copy of her India Abroad interview in the mail. DJ Bijal strikes again, this time with a forceful blow. Beginning in the month of May, Everywhere Radio will be airing on Force 106.5 FM, London.
